Deep Kings!!
“Who would have thought we would be fishing this deep this early” is what some participants were asking. One of the teams that weren’t asking questions was Irish Thunder captained by Joe Toomey. They were dialed in! Joe and his team aboard their Trojan battled some big waves and wind to capture not only the biggest fish of the weekend of 26.12lbs but to take home $15,000 in cash for weighing in the biggest total catch.

Irish Thunder scored 264.58 points edging out fierce competitor Cold Steel
who scored 263.71. While on stage Joe was all smiles and when asked what
this meant to him he said “winning this tournament means a lot but the fact
he won it with his son on board meant everything” Congratulations Joe!
